Dawlish, Dawlish Warren and the surrounding villages benefit from an unusually clear coastal aspect, with very little overshading from buildings or trees on the seaward side. That translates directly into higher generation than the national standard yield assumptions, with most well-designed Dawlish systems producing 950–1,050 kWh per kWp of installed capacity per year.
